In Spain, in order to reduce the impact of the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic on tourism and to provide convenience to airline companies, the flights that passengers will make with the mobile phone application containing the Kovid-19 vaccine or test results are started as a pilot project.
NEW ERA IN FLIGHTS
In Spain, Vueling airline announced that it will perform its first pilot flight as of May 7 with a mobile application that allows recording of Kovid-19 tests or vaccine certificates under the name of “IATA Travel Pass”, with the approval of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Explaining that this application will be used for the first time in the world among the low-cost airlines, Vueling said that the passengers on the plane traveling from Barcelona to Zurich on Thursday, May 7, download the free application called IATA Travel Pass to their mobile phones, without using paper, Kovid-19 tests or vaccines. It was shared that the pilot application in question will continue until May 30. Calum Laming, Vueling’s Director of Customer Services, stated that they are working “to facilitate passengers’ travel and to promote technological possibilities.”
Laming said that they consider the implementation of the “vaccine passport” planned to be brought due to Kovid-19 and the need to gradually lift the restrictions as two basic elements to revitalize the economy and social life.
