US President Biden announced that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Europe in June.
When asked about whether he will meet with Putin or not, Biden replied, “This is my expectation and hope. We are working on this.”
Biden will travel to Europe for the G7 summit planned to be held in England on 11-13 June, and then go to Brussels to meet with European Union leaders and attend the NATO summit to be held on June 14th.
RUSSIAN AND US OFFICIALS WORK FOR MEETING
It has been known that US officials have been working with their Russian counterparts for a possible Biden-Putin meeting, which is expected to take place in a third country.
However, no statement has been made yet that an agreement has been reached from both sides on the meeting.
